Playthingsis aLiminal Horrorfunnel where investigators wake to find themselves unknowingly trapped inside a Resonant Artifact which pulls those who activate it into a demi-plane of plastic, a world which caters not to the characters but to the needs and entertainment of another. This world of plastic rewards the simple and punishes the complicated, diegetically wishing to deny Investigators any glimpse of their humanity outside. Childlike solutions and logic rules the day: colors are vibrant, games are fun, bad guys are Bad Guys and good guys are Good Guys. Innocence may lead a child to collect fireflies; curiosity leads them to rip their wings off.
